Obi

A belt worn by wrapping around the waist several times, and tucking in the at the front or rear. Worn for extra support and to aid posture in Kendo. Also worn in Iai to push Saya (sword scabbard) through.

The obi is cotton and about 75mm wide and in excess of 3.5 metres long. Plain Indigo, white, black, or patterned obi are available.
